Le Fonds SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT Initiatives

The Fonds SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT Initiatives, with a budget of 4 million Euros contributed by the SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT group in 2011, performs concrete actions to promote access to water, sanitation and waste management in developing countries.

The Fonds SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT Initiatives has established a number of priorities for these activities:

  • Backing development projects through financial and technical partnerships with international solidarity organisations and specialised institutions
  • Consolidating the skills of local players and disseminating know-how through specialised training courses or networking with professionals
  • Supporting humanitarian and emergency operations, especially through the Aquassistance association
  • Encouraging innovation by supporting R&D programmes applied to the situations prevalent in developing countries and by organising the Fonds SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT Initiatives - Institut de France Awards.

In France, the Foundation is also committed to economic and social inclusion through employment, backing the "La Maison pour Rebondir" project, designed to provide support to people in extreme difficulty.
